Q: I'm running SolSuite and I
get the error:
"Error deleting the file C:\Program
Files\SolSuite\Data\..."
or
"Error renaming the file C:\Program
Files\SolSuite\Data\..."
A: You have an old SolSuite
installation and you upgraded your
Windows installation (98, XP or
previous version) to Windows Vista
or Windows 7.
You get the error because Windows
Vista and Windows 7 don't allow writing files in
the C:\Program Files\ folder
To solve the problem, simply do the
following:
- Run SolSuite.
- Click on "Tools" on the
toolbar, then
- choose "Options", then
the "Settings" tab.
- Click on "Store folder
settings".
- Select "SolSuite default
Folder"
- and click "OK" to
confirm.
If you want to save your previous
SolSuite configuration and
statistics, you can move all the
files from:
C:\Program Files\SolSuite\Data\*.*
to
[SolSuite default Folder]
For Windows Vista and Windows 7 the folder is:
C:\Users\<username>\AppData\Roaming\SolSuite
